Maple Tree Country School Room was created to help homeschool families thrive. Our three day a week Montessori program provides children with a high quality education as well as a deep sense of community.

Our Policies and Procedures
Below are highlights of some of our policies and procedures. More detailed information such as drop-off/pick-up, school dress code, seasonal snack and lunch menu, etc. will be available this summer via our Parent Handbook.
Our Curriculum
Maple Tree Country School Room is a Montessori program. Our head teacher and founder is an accredited Montessori teacher with over 20 years of experience in the field. She is a homeschool mom who has helped many families on their homeschool journey over the years.
Our program stays true to the Montessori philosophy of both following the child and educating the whole child thus cultivating a lifelong love of learning.
Areas of our classroom include Reading, Writing and Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Geography, Sensorial, Art and Music. Additionally, children will utilize both our indoor and outdoor learning spaces often where they will play, create and garden.
From working with a partner on a project, to preparing the table for lunch, to documenting the progress in the garden, to studying a different culture, to completion a mathematical problem … absolutely every experience in our school room is an opportunity to learn and grow … and to do so with joy!
Home School Family Requirements
In order for a child to be enrolled at Maple Tree Country School Room, he or she must be registered as a homeschool/non-traditional student. Proof of registration with either your current school district’s system or proof of registration with an umbrella program is required as a part of our enrollment process.
By enrolling one’s child at Maple Tree Country School Room, it is understood by the parents(s)/guardian(s) that our program is not a school. Maple Tree will not be offering credits nor are we accredited by any agency. Maple Tree Country School Room is a Montessori based tutoring & enrichment program for children who are being homeschooled.
We are committed to providing a quality program for children, but we will not be held responsible for children who do not pass any state required tests and/or who do not fulfill state required homeschool attendance laws. By enrolling one’s child, it is also understood that the parent(s)/guardian(s) are ultimately responsible for the overall education of the enrolled child.
Snack & Lunch
Alleriges & Dietary Restrictions
Maple Tree Country School Room is an in-home program, which means we are not an allergen-free facility. Snacks and/or meals provided may include, or come in contact with, or be prepared on surfaces, that are exposed to common allergens, including: wheat, dairy, eggs, peanuts and tree nuts.
We are also home to cats and dogs who will remain in an enclosed separate area of the home for the duration of the program, but any serious cat or dog allergies should be carefully considered.
Additionally, we will soon be adding chickens to our property. Any allergies to chickens should also be considered.
We are currently unable to accommodate any severe allergies or dietary restrictions to the following foods in our program: Wheat, Gluten, Dairy, Eggs
Any other minor allergies or dietary restrictions may be able to be accommodated on a case by case basis. Please be sure to list any concerns regarding dietary restrictions in final your application.
Closures
In the event of sickness or emergency within the Maple Tree family or staff, we will reserve the right to take up to 4 “sick day” closures with no reimbursement. Any additional closures will incur a daily tuition credit rate of $50 per day, credited to your account.
Inclement Weather
Maple Tree will refer to both the Davidson and Cheatham County School Districts for guidelines on closure due to inclement weather, but ultimately, we will make our own decision on inclement weather closures. Snow and weather closures are non-refundable and will not incur a tuition credit.
Sickness Policy
In order to attend Maple Tree Country School Room, your child must be:
Free of any fever for 24-hours
Free of any vomiting for 24-hours
If your child is exhibiting any symptoms (runny nose, cough, sneezing, etc.) Please alert us to discuss severity to determine if your child is well enough to attend the program that day. Please use your own discretion, while being respectful to limit the spread of germs to our household and the rest of the children in class.
Maple Tree cleans and sanitizes our classroom and learning materials daily. During the school year, we have a professional cleaning company deep clean the entire home on Mondays and Fridays.
